In order for Veterans to qualify for Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) Veterans benefits, they must meet the VA guidelines. According to the VA, a TBI must have either occurred during, or worsened during, active duty military service. Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) must be service-connected to be eligible for VA benefits. National Guard and Reservists may be eligible for Traumatic Brain Injury benefits if they were injured in the line of duty.
